To accept the place the applicant must firmly accept the new offer.
We advise that UCC decisions are processed with the applicant in mind.
- Ensure the applicant is offered a suitable alternative, bearing in mind the time taken to consider and respond may preclude them from securing a choice through clearing.
- Contact the applicant to explain the decision and ensure they are aware of the process for responding to UCC decisions.
A copy of the communication sent to applicants can be found here.
- Check that admissions staff are familiar with the process and timescales for handling any questions from applicants.
Please be aware that the UCC DBD period gradually reduces from 21 days on 31 July to 5 days on 15 August. After 15 August all UCC decisions will require applicants to reply within 5 days of receiving the offer.
