Upcoming developments

We are planning on making several changes to our system for the 2025 UCAS Undergraduate and UCAS Conservatoires admissions cycle

What's changing?

The following changes may require developments to student records systems. We'll continue to update this list as the scope of the full range of changes progresses.

  • Additional information will be asked for if the applicant's place of education and/or school is not one already known to UCAS.
  • For each place of education, we are asking applicants to confirm the study delivery mode undertaken there.
  • The highest level of qualification is being removed.

We are asking the applicant where they have lived for the past three years. This will be in addition to their current correspondence and home address. We will also be gathering details on the reason for them having previous addresses.

  • Expiry date to any pre-settled status the applicant holds.
  • Reasons for why a visa is not required to study in the UK.
  • Adding 'Don’t know” for the response to 'Do you need a visa to study in the UK?'
  • Change in the wording of question 'Have you previously studied on a student or tier 4 visa in the UK?'
  • The level of study and dates where an applicant has previously studied in the UK.
  • Visa or immigration status, and visa start and end dates (where applicable) for non-UK/Irish applicants.
