Provider contact types

To help you make the most of our products and services, there are a number of roles for staff at higher education providers.

Primary Correspondent

Primary correspondent

This is our main and first point of contact – they’re responsible for making sure you abide by our Business Rules and Principles.

The primary correspondent role

They’ll receive:

  • our weekly email bulletin, and other important email updates
  • information to ensure the UCAS results embargo is enforced
  • copies of any information sent to your vice-chancellor/principal
  • notification of the death of an applicant

They:

  • are the key account holder for MOVEit, approving changes and requests for new accounts
  • are the web-link administrator, creating, deleting and managing web-link accounts
  • keeps UCAS updated of key contact changes
  • cascade UCAS communications and timetables to colleagues

Fraud Correspondent and Similarity Contact

Fraud Correspondent and Similarity Contact

Fraud Correspondents and Similarity Contacts are now stored in our CRM system. To change these contacts, please contact the Verification Team at verification@ucas.ac.uk or by phone on 01242 545 494.

The point of contact for the Verification Team to inform you of any potentially fraudulent applications. You can now have more than one Fraud Correspondent.

To receive similarity detection alerts, where similarity has been found in an applicant’s personal statement. You can have more than one Similarity Contact. This can be the same person, or someone different, to the Fraud Correspondent.

Other contacts

  1. MOVEit account holders

    Up to five contacts can access your provider-level data sets, including Clearing reports, EXACT data, and data from our events scanning service. MOVEit accounts can be requested through our self-service portal and will be approved by the Primary Correspondent.

  2. UCAS correspondents

    You can have up to five UCAS Correspondents, who receive the UCAS Correspondents’ bulletin. They're also an additional point of contact if the Primary Correspondent is unavailable. If you'd like to add more UCAS Correspondents, please contact the Customer Success Team.

  3. Head of Institution

    If you need to update details of your Head of Institution, please complete our web form.
